Hyderabad to host second and third finals of ICL tourney
The first finals of the Edelweiss 20s Challenge will be played at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Chandigarh (Panchkula) on April 4, 2008. The second and third finals were earlier scheduled to be held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Gurgaon but now have been moved to Hyderabad by the organisers.
Kiran More, Executive Board Member, ICL, said, “The Lal Bahadur Statidum is bigger in terms of capacity amongst our all three match venues. Also, stadium is convenient to zone out the corporate boxes, which has been in huge demand from our sponsors,” he said. With the growing crowd response, we feel that Hyderabad plays perfect venue to host second and third finals.
The teams playing semi-finals are Lahore Badshahs, Chennai Superstars, Hyderabad Heroes and Kolkata Tigers.
