Chargers 2nd IPL win
Former Aussie keeper Adam Gilchrist has steered the Deccan Chargers to their second victory of the Indian Premier League.
The recently retired Australian Test star took over the reigns in place of injured VVS Laxman and blasted 54 from 38 balls as the Chargers comfortably chased down the Super Kings' disappointing 7-144 with two over's to spare in Chennai.
Gilchrist received his second man of the match award and moved to fourth on the IPL run list as the Chargers kept alive their hopes of an IPL finals victory.'It was getting a bit do or die for us, so that kept us alive,' said Gilchrist.
It was the first win for the Chargers since Andrew Symonds returned to the Australian team in Brisbane.Chennai have now lost three straight matches without Matthew Hayden and Michael Hussey after winning their first four games.
